The NCRA-CUHU Civil War was a conflict between The Coalition of United Human Unions and a now-defunct faction known as "The New Confederate Resistance Army" which was formed by a former member of the CUHU senate by the name of Rodney J. Phillips, who believed CUHU's policies betrayed the core values of democracy. As such, he and his fellow dissidents founded the city of Algonquian.

The war ended twelve years later with Alogonquian's destruction.
